THE CAPE-SELLER AND THE MONKEY

Outline.
A cap-seller --- asleep under a tree --- monkeys take away caps --- gets up --- caps missing --- sees monkeys wearing them --- a plan --- throws down his cap --- monkeys do the same.
The Story.
Once a cap-seller was to sell his caps. On the way, he slept under a shady tree to take some rest.
Many monkeys lived in the trees around him. They were delighted to see the caps. They put them on their heads and climbed up the trees again.
Soon the cap-seller got up. He was surprised to see the caps missing. He heard the monkeys chatter. He looked up and understood everything. He thought of a clever plan to regain his caps. He took off his own, and threw it down on the ground. The monkeys also did the same. He at once collected them all and went his way.
