The Story.
Once a
camel desired to eat some melons. He took along with him his fried, a jackal
into a field across the river. The jackal was son filled to the full and began
to howl. “It is my habit to sing after having my meal, “he said.
“The farmer heard
the howl and ran towards his field. He saw the camel busy eating his melons. He
drove it away with a good beating. The jackal ran through the bushes to meet
his friend near the bank. And he began to cross the river as before. But the
camel sat down in midstream. “What are you doing?” said the jackal. “It is my
habit, “replied the camel, “to take a bath after eating melons.” In this way
the foolish jackal was drowned.
Moral. As you sow, so shall you reap.
